Maria Gyurics
Maria Gyurics A contemporary abstract painter, whose relationship with art began in early childhood. From a young age, she demonstrated a deep commitment to creating, laying the foundation for her artistic path through participation in drawing clubs and competitions.
Her professional foundation comes from formal artistic training. In 2010, she earned a degree in Drawing and Visual Communication Teaching at the prestigious University of Kaposvár, Faculty of Arts. This academic background continues to shape the intentionality, clarity, and internal structure of her work.
Mária’s abstract paintings are born from her emotions and inner reflection, exploring the vivid interplay of colors and forms, infused with a subtle yet powerful spiritual presence. She works intuitively, letting her emotions guide her brushstrokes. Each piece is a trace of an inner emotional journey, where movement, texture, and color together tell their own story.
Her works have been exhibited in a variety of venues, including the Magnet House in Budapest, the Optika Gallery, the Bern Art Gallery, cafés, restaurants, and the Costa Art & Craft art competition. Her most recent exhibition was a group show at the Brody House, which also participated in this year’s Budapest Contemporary Fine Arts Fair, where one of her paintings was included.
Her works have been sold both in Hungary and internationally, including in the United States and Norway.
